Dave R asked:

Hi, all first of all great site I been looking around and saw this one just the best nice one.Ok i have a problem i first of all buy a 12weeks old kitten from a local petshop. and i got a local cat from my local ASPCA he is 7 year old (he is neutered) and the kitten (IS NOT) is a 12 week old female but not to sure,on the sex has yet.

The problem is that the kitten had the run of the house until we got the old cat, then things where not working out the kitten is making the old cat fear the kitten and he keeps running away and the kitten is always hissing and trying to go for him.

any help pleases
has i was thinking of taking the kitten back to a rescue centre. give the older cat more time to relax.

Try separating the cats for a few days. They will eventually adjust to each other.
