I’m not entirely sure that the kittens are passing from some sort of defect, as close together as they seem to be passing away, and the one hiding in the attic, almost makes me think that perhaps they’ve gotten into something poisonous, poison or disease there’s no real way of telling without an autopsy. Best advice I can offer is to take the mom to the vet, have her spayed, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, this could possibly help in deciphering what’s going on with the kittens.

can you get her done to stop her having any more,cat protection or rspca or pdsa might help with cost

It could be FIV, Feline leukemia virus, or Feline Distemper. Mom could be a carrier of those illnesses without looking sick herself, and distemper can remain in the house for a long time and is hard to destroy with regular household cleaners. It might not be any of those, but I would get the mother cat to a vet and spayed ASAP before it has another sick litter.

It is very nice of you to want to help a stray cat, but the best thing to do is have her fixed. As others have already mentioned you may find a lower cost spay/neuter clinic or SPCA in your area. Try calling around in your area for cheaper Vet Clinics, or Spay Neuter Clinics if money is tight for you right now.

I would get blood work done on her as well if she was my cat, so I knew what was going on. If mom cat does have FIV she might still live a good life, but will need to be an indoor cat from now on. Cat’s don’t die of FIV itself, it is like human HIV and they die from secondary infections. That could be why the babies all died so suddenly as young ones can’t fight off infection as well as an adult cat can. It could be anything though that leads her to have sick litters, but until you get some bloodwork done you can’t tell for sure what is going wrong. The kindest thing you can do is to get her a Vet Check Up and Spayed, and if you can’t afford to do it you may need to take her to a SPCA or No Kill Shelter and surrender her to them to treat.

Good for you for trying to help btw, but the best thing to do is to stop her from giving birth to more ill kittens that will die too young.

firstly get the cat desexed so maybe it doesnt pass the virus or something to the cats that mate with it…
its prob a gene tho.,.. my mum cant even explain it.. (she breeds siamese)

Please get your cat spayed. Sorry I don’t know what they have. Her kitten might all have this condition and it is very hard on her body to keep having kittens.

Have you taken this cat for proper medical exams and treatment? As you suspect, she probably has an illness or disease. This needs to be determined by a veterinarian. It would be irresponsible to not do so because her illness may be communicable and she could make other cats ill. She may be suffering and in pain. Please get her help.
I had a cat that had babies and they all died mysteriously. Upon examination, it was determined that she had FIV, (Feline immunodeficiency virus) and she needed to be put to sleep. Hopefully your cat has something less serious.
